We need your help to make projects like this happen!

Hi! My name’s Eve (fan of Kindred and volunteer for the upcoming share fair). I'm helping Kindred launch this membership because they already accomplish an incredible amount of good. Just imagine what they could do if they had more resources and support!

To raise funds for supplies and tools (see below) for upcoming community projects, we came up with an idea…

Kindred is so much more than just a store.

What they’ve done for our community this year alone? INCREDIBLE.

  • The first ever FREE share fair, you’re invited! (Family friendly, food, music, face painting, free bike repair, free pet care, massages, clothing, and much more: September 19th)
  • 19x donation drives and community events (supporting local nonprofits and community projects)
  • Vancouver Free Fridge host (where anyone can drop off or pickup food for free, anytime)
  • 8x neighborhood cleanup events (litter pickups, weeding, gardening, & neighborhood beautification)
  • 3x community garden projects (2x neighborhood weed removal and pollinator garden plantings, 1x edible resiliency garden)
  • 16x free swaps (a theme each time, like plants & seeds, school supplies, costumes, puzzles…)
  • 6x advocacy nights (connecting volunteers to amazing local organizations)
  • 320+ gallons of drinking water collected, filled, and distributed to our neighbors (this summer alone)
  • 1200+ pounds of kitchen scraps composted as a community "We Compost" hub (drop off your food scraps anytime!)
  • 3000+ egg cartons collected for FISH food bank (drop off your egg cartons anytime!)
  • 1000+ containers collected for Urban Abundance to fill and distribute free, fresh produce locally
  • ... Just this year alone!

We need your help to make MORE projects like this happen!

This membership will fund community projects (like those shared above). Our goal is to raise enough funds to cover resources like:

  • A storage unit (to store donations between community events)
  • Upgrades and maintenance for the Vancouver free fridge (insulation, electrical upgrades, repairs)
  • Tools and supplies for community beautification projects (like an upcoming mural project)
  • Event supplies (like more used popup canopies and folding tables)

We chose $29 per month because it’s similar to a streaming service. And it will add up to make incredible projects possible!

Have the means?
Join the super supporter tier for $99 per month
and make it even easier for us to launch community projects and events (Super supporters will have the opportunity to contribute to an upcoming art installation).

Other ways to help?
We're looking for volunteers, other people/businesses/organizations to contribute to fundraising efforts, or anyone willing to share skills or resources at upcoming share fairs. Please email us if you have an idea, something to add to the raffle this week, or would just like to connect.
