Crafted with care by the Dalit people of India, each candle supports initiatives with street children from this community. These candles not only illuminate your space but also bring a touch of rustic charm and warmth to any setting.

Mini Vase Candle: About the size of a regular votive candle. Offers about 20 hours of burn time. Dimensions: 2.36 x 2.36 x 2.56 inches

Terracotta Pot Candle: About the size of a tealight. Delivers approximately 26 hours of burn time. Dimensions: 3.15 x 3.15 x 2.56 inches.

Dalit Goods Co., the creators of our candles, was established by the charity Life Association in 2010 to spotlight the struggles of the Dalit communities and generate funds for supportive initiatives.

Inspired by a stark symbol in the slums of Mumbai—smashed clay pots traditionally used and then discarded by Dalits as a mark of their societal status—Dalit Goods seeks to transform this symbol of oppression into a beacon of light and opportunity. 

Each product is carefully designed to be ethically sourced and environmentally sensitive, providing employment opportunities to the Dalit people. The candles, named after children supported through the charity's schools and homes in India, embody a profound story of resilience and hope.
