Charcoal Water Filter
Ditch plastic filters and clean your water with charcoal using this awesome binchotan charcoal stick! Plus, it has a second life as an odor purifier in your fridge.
When placed in a container of your choice, the stick begins working immediately bonding with toxins (lead, mercury, copper, cadmium, chlorine, aluminum - just to name a few) in tap water. Enjoy the taste of natural spring water at your fingertips.
One stick lasts 4 months.
Available in 3 sizes:
- To-go: for water bottles
- Regular: for carafes/ pitchers
- X-Large: for larger jugs
Maintenance: Each stick should be boiled once per month to keep its pores open. Simply place in a shallow pan of water and bring to a boil for 5 minutes. Allow to dry for 30 minutes before reusing. While a small amount of flaking may occur, the stick will stay completely intact; they will NEVER deteriorate. After four months, the stick should be replaced. Please use the handy boiling schedule, located inside the package label, to keep track of your Kishu stick’s life.
Each stick has great secondary uses: absorbing odors in the refrigerator (better than baking soda!) or mixed into your garden soil where it will help improve water absorption.
